Case Study:
Shaping what digital transformation means
Our Challenge
A client needed to overhaul the way they planned and executed digital work. A recently formed Division needed expert support to both navigate this unfamiliar process and demonstrate its value to a sceptical and busy organisation.
Our approach
We broke the work down into discrete pieces so we could respond and adapt to evolving thinking within the department and at the whole-of-government level. Through stakeholder workshops, we iterated on key documents, including a Digital Transformation Blueprint, and a Divisional Operating Model. Through collaboration, we engaged stakeholders and managed considerable uncertainty about the project.
The Outcome
Because of our work, the client gained a clear direction for its digital transformation. We secured wider buy-in and greater visibility for digital transformation across the Department by linking to what was already happening. We also helped define and transform the way the Division worked, to better map functions (and staff) to core objectives.
